Knights slaying pawns, rooks protecting kings, and queens causing havoc all over the board: a new club has landed at Louisburg Middle School. On Wednesday, November 10, LMS students met in room 117 after school to have their inaugural meeting of the newly formed chess club.
Elijah Lane, 6th grade, and Dakin Jacklovich, 7th grade, are the founders of this club, and the sponsor is Richard Lane, LHS physics and chemistry teacher. The club was created as a part of a collaborative gifted project with Lane and Jacklovich.
